CHI '11 Workshop 27 -- Embodied Interaction: Theory and Practice in HCI will be held all day on May 8, 2011 in Vancouver, Canada.It will offer a terrific opportunity to meet in the context of focused and interactive discussions, to investigate emerging topics, to move new fields forward and build communities. Persons interested in participating to a workshop can submit a position paper to the organizers of that workshop (extended submission deadline: January 23rd, 2011). Please notice that all attendants must register for both the workshop and at least one day the CHI conference itself. Notification will be February 25, 2011. A selection of the best position papers will be invited to submit to an open call for a special issue of ToCHI (see below).

Special Issue ToCHI -- There will soon be a call for papers for a special issue of ToCHI on "The Theory and Practice of Embodied Interaction in HCI and Interaction Design", edited by Paul Marshall (University of Warwick), Alissa N. Antle (Simon Fraser University) and Elise van den Hoven (Eindhoven University of Technology) with a Guest Editorial by Prof. Paul Dourish. The deadline for 2-page proposals is expected to be early summer.
